Proposed Noise Ordinance for Construction Near Residences. with many new neighborhoods under construction. With that growth has come concerns from residents about construction noise affecting their quality of life. To address this the City Council is considering a new ordinance to reduce construction noise near homes. What’s Being Proposed?
• The proposed ordinance would establish limits on construction‐related noise in residential areas. That could include restricting work hours maximum decibels and enforcement mechanisms (fines or stops in work) for violations.
• The initiative comes after complaints from neighborhoods under current development where heavy machinery early mornings or loud tools disturb day-to-day life.
